Feature Request

L Hand/R Hand Dynamic Parenting

Status:rejected

I'm looking for a way to be able to include the Left or Right hand as a dynamic parent, and have the other hand follow the parent hand. This would be very useful for a character holding a 2 handed weapon for example.

For your scene, there is nothing preventing you from parent-constraining one wristIKC to the other. Or creating another object that both are constrained to. The reason this is not built into the rig is the animator may want to have any type of object be the target for a constraint on the wrist. Also, short of building a bi-directional constraint, there is no way to have the left hand drive the right and the right drive the left. By leaving that open to the animator to set up to his/her preferred method is much more useful than me trying to build in a system that would most likely be more restrictive and more complicated than a simple parent constraint created by the animator.
