Bugs

single hierarchy skeleton ...

Hi Dustin,

I have a problem with orientation *SH* skeleton when turning On "Single Hierarchy" option for the Rapid Rig. There is non zero rotation value for many joints in the hierarchy. It is caused by just "rotating" joint along "driver" joint in the rig. Correct me if I am wrong but seems to me that you make *SH* hierarchy "explicitly" so just make a joint, constraint it to its "master" joint and then parent it all together? In the Rapid Rig script itself, you just create single hierarchy skeleton without orienting joints the same way as the rigged skeleton is oriented so the result is just constrained to original(rigged) skeleton, but with non zero rotations.

Is it possible to set up the *SH* skeletal hierarchy with propper oriantation of all joints to get zero rotations? We are in the middle of project for Apple iPhone Unity engine, animating and preparing characters for this engine but there is many problems with these initial non zero rotations in *SH* skeletal chains ...

 Thank you very much,

  Josef.

Hi Josef, You are right, this should be the way you suggest. I haven't heard of this problem before, but I will fix it right away. Are you using toon arms and/or legs? The reason I ask is the toon arms and legs have the non-zero rotations in the standard hierarchy, not just the single hierarchy. If you aren't using the toon arms/legs, I can get a fix uploaded right away, but if you are using the toon arms/legs it will take me a few more days to go through everything to straighten those out. Thanks! Dustin

Hi again Dustin, we are not using toon arms and legs at the moment but we are planning to do it in the future. But now it is not neccessary. Anyway, thanks for soon response! Josef.

Hi Josef, In version 1.4.9, I have fixed the single hierarchy chain so that it should no longer have non-zero rotations. Let me know if it now works. Thanks! Dustin
