Knee Flipping

First of all, great script.

However, I'm having a problem with flipping or pinching in the knees. When the master control, (MainC) is  rotated away from 0, 0, 0 in any axis (though it becomes more pronounced the further away) and the stretch for the feet is one, and being stretched, when the main Upper Body Control (RootC) is translated and rotated in a variety of ways, the knees have a tendency to flip or pinch. This isn't the pole vector, as it appears that the actual hip and knee joints themselves don't seem to flip. It appears that the LegUpLctr locators are what are flipping. Just to give you reference, an example position is 180 on rotateY on MainC, Stretch enacted on both feet, and translate (0, .5, 0) and rotate (-.3, 0, -2) on ROOTC. If you have any thoughts on how to fix this, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hi Harry, Thanks for the detailed description on how to reproduce the bug! I am working on it as we speak... Constraints can be a real pain sometimes. I will keep you updated as I work on this. Dustin

Hey Harry, You were absolutely correct with the flipping on the locators. Changing the interpolation of the constraints seems to fix the popping in my tests. If you have your file open, paste the following into your script editor or command line and hit enter: setAttr "lLegUpLctr_parentConstraint1.interpType" 0; setAttr "rLegUpLctr_parentConstraint1.interpType" 0; Please let me know if you have any further issues with the rig, and I will be sure to add this to the next update. Thanks again! Dustin

changing the interpolation type worked perfectly. Thanks a million.

oops, actually even with the interpolation changed it's still rearing its ugly head on occasion. However, just to experiment, on those same constraints I took the weighting entirely off the hips, so the locators only take their rotations from the knees. So far it seems to have worked and nothing's exploded. Thanks again

Thanks Harry, I will have another look at that. I appreciate you digging into the rig to solve these problems on your own, and letting me know! This site doesn't notify me if a new comment is made, so I have to keep coming back and looking to see if anything new has been posted. Sorry for the delay. Dustin

Alright, I have another fix that seems to have fixed the problem. Let me know if you have any other troubles. Version 1.2.0 has the fix.
