Resulting playblast not playing at Maya's framerate

Maya 2011

Device aspect ratio: 1.600
Pixel aspect ration: 0.900
Playback speed: 120fps

Problem
I'm working in Maya at 120 frames per second. I have used the script to playblast a 2.6 second animation. The resulting video is playing in slow motion and has extended my animation to about 23 seconds.

Sorry, I should've done further testing before posting. Disregard the bug, this is also happening with Maya's normal playblast. Thanks for the script! This makes my life so much easier when rendering out playblasts for demos, animatics, etc.

That is an EXTREMELY high framerate! I've never seen anything like that! That's awesome! As for the bug, I'll take a look at whether or not there's a solution for this. I may be able to try and do the playblast in chunks for high framerates like yours and then piece them together afterwards. It's definitely going to take some time to figure out, but it sounds like an interesting problem to solve. :) Thanks again for the feedback, and I'm glad I'm able to make your life easier. That's why I do this stuff. I like helping people and since I seem to have this talent (coupled with a passion for 3d) I figure I might as well make use of it and help everyone out. :)

Hey John, Yeah, we're weird over here. We work at 120fps to get the maximum out of our motion capture data. It's a little weird to work at 120 but you get used to it. I did some research and it looks like there is nothing wrong with your script when it comes to rendering certain frame rates. I've used the script in both Maya 2008 and 2011 and the problem I described only happens in 2011. The problem has to do with 2011 having it's frame rate for playblasts hardcoded at 24fps. It's been marked as a bug (probably fixed by now) and Autodesk is aware of it. Here's a link to a bug report: https://thnkr.com/bt/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=155

Thanks for the link to the bug report. It does say that it's fixed with Hotfix 2 for 2011. Kind of a bummer though because I was trying out different methods to get that framerate, but since it works I'll move onto something else (figuring out how to speed up playblasts maybe) and I'll mark this as closed.
