Quick Playblast GUI rendering in outputed video

Details
Maya 2011
Windows XP-64
Image Size (resolution gate): 1280x720 (HD720)
Device aspect ratio: 1.600
Pixel aspect ration: 0.900
Playback speed: 120fps

Problem
I have the Quick Playblast GUI positioned on top of my scene in Maya so that when I press the "Toggle Resolution Gate" button the GUI is intersecting the scene that will be rendered in the playblast output. The resulting video renders out the portion of the Quick Playblast GUI that was intersecting the resolution gate.

Sorry, I should've done further testing before posting. Disregard the bug, this is also happening with Maya's normal playblast.

Ok. Thanks for the update on that. I think I do have a solution for it though and I will put this as a top priority for the next release. Thanks for the feedback on it!

I've got the solution and will be updating the script sometime tomorrow if all goes well with my testing on Windows (I do all my development on my Mac, but thoroughly test everything on my Win box before putting it out). It works beautifully on the Mac, but then again, the issue isn't present on Mac either, so that's not a good judgement. :)

The script has been updated to reflect the changes. If this doesn't work, please let me know. It should, however, do exactly what it's supposed to. :) Thanks for pointing it out.

Hi John, Just saw your email. Sorry, I've been pretty busy at work and haven't been keeping track of this very well. Going to download the update and check it out!

Just tried the script in both Maya 2008 and 2011 and it works great! I really like the new "Save Location" feature and the minimizing of the GUI right before the playblast occurs is a great idea. Well done, sir!

I just figured that since the issue was it showing up, that minimizing it would be the optimal solution. It's definitely not an "elegant" solution, but it fixes the problem and in the end, that's all that really matters. :)
