I am using maya 2010 and note that the leaves must be numbered from 1 onwards otherwise the sim will freeze.
This is noted in test scene where the leaves are numbered from 0,1 2 thru` to 5 and the UI calculates 6.
Change it to 5 and all is OK.

Great script.

Thanks

Johnty

Thank you John. I am not sure I understood the issue very well. In the example you mention, if you have leaf models named from 0 to 5 (0,1,2,3,4,5) you would, in fact, have 6 different models, so if the UI returns 6, it is correct. In the other hand, I did find an issue with the test scene I include in the zip file of the script: after the bug fix I applied last week end, the node that groups all the leaf models (leafModels_Lo) is counted as one more leaf model variation. So even if there are 5 models in the scene (1-5), the UI detects 6. This is not a bug in the script itself, since it's doing what it should, so I have changed the test scene to respect the now more inclusive (leaf*_Lo instead of leaf?_Lo) naming convention. Thanks, and let me know if there is still a bug I didn't catch. Mayec
