IK Controls don't work with Added Joints

Hey  badmanjam!  So, now that I have learned quite a bit about rigging and have successfully added extra joints to my rig thanks to watching YouTube tutorials and asking questions to the Autodesk community, I have run into a problem which I felt most appropriate to ask you since you are the creator of this plugin and would know how to best answer it.  So, the extra joints I added to the rig work absolutely fine in FK mode, but when I switch to IK mode, the joints don't move for some reason.  Let's talk about the arm for example.  I am aware that IK and FK are two separate arms that control a third arm essentially, but I do not know how to get those extra joints I created to move or be connected to both or all 3 arms.  What do I have to do?  Would greatly appreciate the help, as this is for a college assignment I am doing at the moment.
