With permission, I have modified this to support Maya 2013 (and earlier) and Maya 2013.5 & 2014. This needed to be done because new versions of Maya will have mental ray integrated differently as a "real" plug-in and as such, certain things can't be scripted the way they used to be.
To install, simply copy the file from appropriate version folder and paste into your local documents Maya --> Scripts folder.
