Q/A

how do I separate the new objects created?

Hi everybody, I'm a super noob in Maya and I've used this amazing script to create some cool structures I like. However I would like to 'explode' or 'un-instance' the arrays I've created so I can edit each piece invividually without all of them messing up or getting out of place, etc. I've tried delete history and lots of stuff but I never manage to separate de individual pieces! I want them to split into individual polygons, how can I do that? How do I delete these arrays?

Here's my concrete issue: First, I made a live array of a beam and it resulted into 8 beams. Then I copied that structure and rotated it lots of times, to create a dome-like structure. Now I want to make holes into the dome by deleting individual beams, how can I do it? Everytime I want to delete an individual beam a series of copies are also highlighted and I can never delete the individuals, they seem linked as I had copied them before. How do I 'split' them or 'explode' them?

Thank you for your help!
