You are trying to run the script via MEL tab of script editor. That's why you get this error. Run it in PYTHON tab of script editor. -

Thank for the reply. Well that is what I did, opened in notepad and copy and paste and execute all throws up an error. I also tried to load the script File > Load script inside the script editor and then Execute all or Ctrl + Enter, unfortunately gives the same error. // Error: #Autor - Irakli Kublashvili 2013 // // Error: Line 1.0: invalid directive // // Error: renderPasses = attributeSctring.partition(';')[0] // // Error: Line 198.66: Syntax error // // Error: startEndFrames = attrString.partition(';')[2] // // Error: Line 203.61: Syntax error // // Error: endFrame = endFrame_temp.partition(';')[0] // // Error: Line 206.58: Syntax error // // Error: tempStartEndFrames_partitioned = str(cameraAttr).partition(';')[2] // // Error: Line 1044.86: Syntax error // // Error: tempStartEndFrames = tempStartEndFrames_partitioned.translate(None, ';') // // Error: Line 1045.95: Syntax error // Sorry if I am bugging you but the batch render is soooo slow and it just does not use the full CPU for some reason, hence trying this. :) -

Just copy whole script and paste it on to the python tab of script editor and run it. This is python version of the script and it does not use curly brackets. Thanks -

Hi there, nice script but for some reason I am getting the same syntax error. You had asked to paste " ikas_renderViewBr; " after the symbol } at the end of the code but there is no closing curly bracket. What am I doing wrong.. ? Also I am using 2013 64 bit Maya, does it work on it.. ? Wish it will... :) Thanks. -

Hi I am having the same trouble as FOBulous. I set everything up to render, batch render then nothing appears in the output folder. It simply creates an empty folder callled MasterLayer. -
Cyberika said about 11 years ago:
FOBulous, thanks for using this script! Did you saved Render Settings? If you did not set render layers and did not save the settings it will not render. The script uses input information to start render. Just updated to v 2.0.1. Fixed some bugs. Added function, that blocks Render Button until user save the settings -

Hi, thanks for making this. I've been running into a similar problem with objects not rendering in batch. But I keep running into the problem where nothing happens when I use your script. I click Render It and nothing happens. I'm on a Mac/Maya 2013. You have any ideas? -

I'm sorry but I really can't edit this script now. You can edit this script for personal using.
