Hi,
I have maya 2012 installed. I copied the script into all of my script folders (just to be safe) and when i open maya and type "FileTextureManager"in it gives me a name not defined error.
Please let us know if there is a fix for this.
Thanks.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Name not defined error means the script is not properly sourced or loaded. Putting the script in script directory is just a very common way to have the script get loaded during Maya start up. You don't have to copy the script into every script folder, usually one, like user script directory, is just enough. You just need to make sure that one is the right one. Depending on the OS you are running Maya with, user script directory is located in different places by default. For example, under Windows, user script directory is ...CURRENT USER\My Documents\maya\scripts\ To test if the script works or not, you could load it manually. Within Script Editor, select File->Source Scripts... then pick the script (doesn't matter where it is). After that, the script is loaded. Type in FileTextureManager to see if it works.
