this just saved my ass in maya 2013 animating a fight between 2 serpents was getting flipping all over the place using standard techniques

This is a very handy script to create spiral. The taper value is keyable and that makes this script unique. I have no problem running it in Maya 2012. Never tried on other version of Maya but since it's python then I don't think there will be any problem.
