Hello, I'm having trouble after downloading. i unzip the file but when i go to open it in maya it comes with an error, something about commandpost default. Any help as this appears to be a great rig and judging by the comments it looks that way. Many thanks -

awesome work! this rig is sweet, one of the best I've seen on here! i would like to be able to use facial clusters for more fine tunning though. -

This rig looks really really good. I know everybody has thrown in their two cents, but I don't think this one has been covered. For the sync control I noticed that the wide mouth is the same shape as the max smile shape. But that kinda of clashes with the frown shape. The two emotions fight each other. I was wondering if it's possible to have left be the narrow and right just be the wide. That way you can still animate the shapes and then layer the emotion of the mouth on top after. And if going further the up and down can be the squash and stretch of the mouth and chin (not the head just the jaw/mouth to exagerate the look of it, just stretch straight down and squash up to the cheek bones). Then have a separate control that controls the swing. Swing open, swing left, swing right. That way you can get swooping jaws into the sync animation and get better lines of action in the face poses. Also removes the need for the mouth lock slider. Other wise it's a really solid rig. Kudos. -

This a great rig, congrats on this fantastic build. I have a small suggestion. ** Add Elbow and Knee IK options switch. For example if the character has his elbow resting on a table but you rotate or move his upper body controls, his elbow would stay in place and not sink into the table if IK elbow was enabled. Of course if you go over the range of motion his upper arm would start to stretch. But that's not a bad thing :) -

hello :) I like this rig but one thing bugs me : the shoes ! When you want to make a walk cycle with the character you have to tweak some options to make them touching the ground. Take the right feet and pull it back a little, you rapidly see that it never touches the ground. I think that's because the shape of the shoe (the toe part) is not straight. In bind pose you can see that there is just a point which is touching the ground. Hope you understand what I meant. Still a really good and enjoyable work :) bye -

this is a really fun character! excellent work on the rig, I'd agree with some of the minor options that could be added. i.e. 'look at' for the eyes, or 'head orient to world'...whatever! This is the best free character rig so far in my opinion.
