Super Simple Game Rig

Date:03/08/2016
Submitted by: crebagger crebagger
I recently purchased Rapid Rig Modular to speed up my rigging pipeline and am thrilled so far. So, thank you for creating this.

My question is...

Im trying to get a super simple biped rig made and I would like to create a neck that is truly only 1 joint. I put 1 for the number of joints to create and i get two.

this is what im getting
Root
-Spine01
--SpineTop
---Neck01
----NeckTop
-----Head

this is what i would like to get
Root
-Spine01
--SpineTop
---NeckTop
----Head

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

There would be no way to achieve a spline effect with no intermediate joints between the attaching module and the top of the spline, so you will not want to use that module type. If you want only one joint for the neck, use an auxiliary module instead. -Dustin

Got another question. For exporting these rigs, is there an easy way to select the skinned joints after you have already made the rig? The button for that worked while i was creating the rig, but now that im in a diff scene animating using the reference editor, i cant seem to be able to select just those joints without going through the outliner and selecting them one by one. Thanks

You need to update the name in the field for selecting joints. It needs to have the namespace otherwise it will not work. Grab the Main Ctrl, and hit Load next to the text field and it should update with the correct name. Or you can manually type it out.
