Problem using an FK chain as spine

Date:11/17/2016

Hi!
To create a more simple character rig I want to use an FK chain for the spline.
So i  create the  chain in +Y direction on the hip and then add the arms to the end of that chain. However then the arms are rotated so that they face up and down, as shown in the screenshot and it is not possible to rotate them into the correct positions, for example mirroring does not work anymore then.
I found out that i can work around this by freezing the rotation in "RRM_spine_ParentGrp" before attaching the arms. This seems to lead to some other problems later on though, and it also does not work when saving and loading the proxy setup.
I am using version 2.0.6 on Maya 2017
Any help is greatly apreciated!

Freezing the proxies will definitely give you issues if you try to reload them. And it could have other issues. The issue is the modules all attach locally, and there are so many variations that it's hard to account for them all. The simplest thing to do is to manually rotate them into the direction you want them to be in. I will look into a solution moving forward.
