I recently finished porting NimbleTools to python which should allow it to run on any platform for Maya 2008. I have not had a chance to test it on OSX or any of the 64-bit platforms - if you would like to give it a try please send me a private message (it would be greatly appreciated!).
It won't install under Maya 2008 x64 Ext 2. I appreciate the installers that do checks, but I prefer to do manual installation as it works better under circumstances like this.
This is a must have plugin for any fx artist or dynamics user. Great plugin!
I give this a 5, because its taken 8 versions of Maya to do something that should have already been implemented when particle instancing was created!
