Error Help

Date:08/09/2015
Submitted by: DestyNova DestyNova
Hello. I have Maya 2014 on a mac and am getting the following error after following the instructions to install.

# Error: IOError: file /Applications/Autodesk/maya2014/Maya.app/Contents/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/Current/lib/python2.7/xml/etree/ElementTree.py line 647: 2

I'm fairly certain I have followed the instructions correctly, but that is even more confusing then, because there is no line 647. Lines stop at 587.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

sorry i dont have acces to a mac computer anymore so i can't help with this. the actual problem is somewhere in the parsing of a file in xml.etree.ElementTree

Hi ! I have almost exactly the same problem. Except I'm working with Maya 2015. When I'm trying to import the script I have this message : "Error : line 0: IOError : file C/\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2015\bin\python27.zip\xml\etree\ElementTree.py line 647: 2" So you can see the line 647 on the screenshot, I'm quite noob with Python and I don't know what to do with this... Any help would be wonderful ! Thanks.

Getting the same error on Windows 10, Maya 2014, deleting files and finding another tool that works.
