hi, How big is the wav file? Maya has trouble dealing with big wav files. Try using a sound editing software to redure the quality a bit. (more) -

My transformer test. The rendering took a long time so i rendered just the final few seconds. Robot model from poser and car model from turbo squid. Rigging and animation by me.
