Transform selection

Is there any possibility to select the transform node of an object to duplicate instead of its shape?, I've been trying to duplicate an object with mip_binaryproxy node attached to it but this node is connected to the transform node, not the shape.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I like this is script and want to use it.
