Hello,

I am trying to create (as well open the pre-build)skeleton in Maya 2012 and for some reason it doesn’t display the bones between the joints. I am attaching a screenshot of the joints in Maya 2012. I also tried changing the joint draw style which didn’t make the bones visible.
And this is happening in all the views, even after restarting Maya and deleting the preference files and restarting the computer.

I'm having this same problem.  I also noticed that when you translate the top joint, the joints parented underneath it in the chain do not move.  I'm running Windows 7 on a toshiba Ultrabook, but when I bring the scene to my desktop (running Vista), the joints look and behave normally.  Anyone got an answer on this one?
