ID Map artifacts from intersecting geo?

Well title is self explanitory, but yeah, it SEEMS like the resulting ID map is getting colour bleed from intersecting geometry... I have pictures if you need them.

Yeah I have since been doing that. I have a custom script I wrote for a different purpose that actually does this really well. Curious though, is there a built in Maya function to explode meshes?

Just explode your mesh before baking. You should have been doing that anyway, really, as it's a best-practices standard.

I've also noted this on several occasions. Unfortunatly there is nothing I can do about it as this is how the Transfer Maps -rendering works in Maya. Fixing it would require a custom-made renderer created in C++/Maya API :(

No worries. It is just weird, because I could have sworn that it worked in previous version (though I haven't tested that out ...) I have since exploded the meshes. :P
